Gideon Akanbi, with nearly 35 years of experience, is passionate about mentoring young people to discover their purpose, develop their leadership potential, and live with biblical integrity. He is the President and International Director of Godly Brains Ministry, founded in 2008, and has led leadership conferences globally, including in Germany, the USA, the UK, and Ghana.

Since 2013, he has been the convener of the Purpose, Potential, and Passion Conference (PPP). Gideon also serves as the University Chaplain for Bowen University, Nigeria, and has visited chaplaincies at over ten UK universities.

He was a participant at the 6th Global Conference for Chaplains of Higher Institutions held at the University of Sheffield in 2022. He was also a participant at the EDM’25 conference held in Forth Wort, USA where 900 collegiate leaders from 41 states of the US and 41 countries of the world gathered for intensive training on collegiate ministries.

He holds a B.Sc. (Unilorin), M.Div. (NBTS, Ogbomoso), PGDRS (Bowen University), M.A. (OOU, Ago-Iwoye), and Ph.D (Crowther, Abeokuta)., as well as a certificate in expository preaching from Stephen Olford Center in Memphis, USA. He has authored six books, including Kingdom Questions with Realistic Answers (Part 1) and From Slavery to Sonship.

He is married to Olubisi Temitayo, and they have both biological and spiritual children.
